I never knew that there is such a romantic eating place with Balinese-themed environment and decorations. It was hidden between rows of kampung type of house in the vicinity of sleepy Sungai Penchala in Damansara. It has a tranquil atmosphere and being inside makes you feel the calmness of the restaurant. Sungai Penchala was once well known for its defunct Al Arqam movement that was banned by the government in the 80s accusing them of preaching of wrong Islamic teaching.

I had the opportunity to visit Bora Asmara when a long lost friend (36 years ago) invited me for his daughter's wedding reception.
The Star once published an article about Bora Asmara in its Lifestyle section tittled : Romancing at Bora Asmara. So it is a suitable place for romantic couples to while away their romantic time in a secluded environment without being under seveillance of peeping toms or the authority.

Well, I could say much about the food served during normal operating hours since it was a wedding reception and everybody have to savior what had been prepared by the host of the event. But, according to The Star article there are varieties of dishes from Thai Tom Yam, Indonesian cuisine, local food, even western dishes and pastas. for cigar lovers, they can sit and enjoy Cuban cigars while being entertained by in-house entertainers.

Direction: On the Pencala Link from Damanara Perdana, head towards Mont Kiara. Turn left to Sungai Pencala before you reach the Pencala tunnel. Turn left at traffic lights and go straight. The restaurant is on the left.
