It was about ten years ago that Base Jump was organised in this tower after an untowards incident put a brake to future jumps.
This year in conjunction with the Visit Malaysia Year 2020, Kuala Lumpur tower once again placed Alor Setar Tower as one of the jumps in Malaysia besides Menara Kuala Lumpur, Wisma Sanyan in Sibu and Gua Damai in Batu Caves.
The Menara Alor Setar base jump was organize from 11 to 13 September 2019 and the launch was officiated by State Executive Councillor for Youth and Sports, Tourism, Arts and Enterpreneur Development, YB En. Mohd Asmirul Anuar Aris. He also officiated the Soft Launch of visit Malaysia Year 2020 at Kedah State Level.
