Iwan Mee Udang @ Jitra

The last time I had Mee Udang was at Kuala Sepetenag when I was on my way back to Kedah from Kuala Lumpur.

Mee Udang as it is called has a few medium sized prawns as part of the recipe. Popular Mee Udang are also found at Sungai Dua and Pulau Sayak.

It was the first time I tried Mee Udang in Jitra at Iwan Koteow Kerang.  The roadside stall is located at Jitra II opposite SMK Jitra on the main road towards North. Driving into Jitra town after the first traffic light, and after the first junction on the left, look for the Nasi Kandar Nasmir and the stall is just in front. A plate of Mee Udang is RM8.00.  

The Char Koteow (below) is also as tasty as the Mee Udang
