Cherengin Hills Convention & Spa Resorts

It was raining when I and the group left Bukit Jalil and head to Cherengin Hills Convention and Spa Resort in Janda Baik. this is my first trip to the place and therefore my first stay at the resort.   A resort surrounded by lush tropical rainforest is at the pinnacle of tranquility, a hillside contemporary retreat hidden in between Janda Baik in the state of Pahang, Malaysia.

Our trip was through Jalan Kuching and MRR II since we are going to avoid the jam along MRR II from Bukit Jalil. However maybe we had taken a wrong route because we found out that traffic along MRR II was not as heavy as expected. By the way which ever route you take, all must turn into the Karak Highway and drive up to Genting Sempah.

From Genting Sempah take a 9.00 clock exit and drive straight along the small road until you reach Mesjid Sultan Abu Bakar. Turn right immediately after the mosque. The road leading to Cherengin Hills Convention and Spa Resort is sandwiched between the mosque and Sekolah Kebangsaan Janda Baik.

Within the precinct, guests can visit the rainforest, fish farm, organic farm, shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables, enjoy horse riding or even a picnic at Pulau Santap. For the Kuala Lumpur city dwellers, Cherengin Hills Convention & Spa Resort is just an hours’ drive away, and is arguably the perfect destination to locate away from the hustle and bustle of the city lives.

Be immersed with the refreshing change of the cool day’s climate of 23°C to 28°C that drops to 22°C when evening dawns, all at an altitude of 600m to 800m above sea level.

The resort lobby face a beautiful panaromic view of the hills and the sunrise. It has 136 tastefully decorated rooms and suites, the resort guarantees privacy and a relaxing ambience completed with modern amenities.

After check in, I received the keycard to room 9217 and the receptionist told me level 1. Surprise because there is only three levels. I wondered why all rooms start with 9 and later found out that its the owners lucky number. The owner is a local Janda Baik son.
For the Kuala Lumpur city dwellers, it takes less than an hour of leisure drive on the Karak Highway for a brief escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Check availability and rates.
