Kuala Lumpur Is Not Just Bukit Bintang And KLCC

Yes Kuala Lumpur is more than that. I am sure many of us will agree that when we think of going to Kuala Lumpur,  the most talked about stories is of Bukit Bintang and KLCC. The most published picture in modern Kuala Lumpur is also, I think, of Petronas Twin Tower.  On one aspect, both places do represent Kuala Lumpur but  to know Kuala Lumpur is to see other areas too.

Bukit Bintang
No doubt Bukit Bintang has become the most attractive place to visit in Kuala Lumpur. It is a concentration of shopping complexes, entertainment and food and is lively 24/7. There are shopping complexes such as  Pavillion KL, KL Plaza, Lot 10 and the Siamese twins of BB Plaza and Sungai Wang Plaza. Bukit Bintang too has the Berjaya Time Square with shopping lots, the attraction of Cosmo's World Indoor Theme Park and hotel to add up to shoppers looking for choice.

Historical Kuala Lumpur

This is the section made up of Jalan Mesjid India or Little India, Dataran Merdeka, Central Market, Petaling Street, Railway Station and Brickfields. Shopping "District"

Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman is a shopping paradise for the masses. All along Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman from the junction of Jalan Dang Wangi up to the junction of Jalan Tun Perak are shophouses and textile house. This stretch of road will be busy everyday and its activity increases during festivities seasons.

"Textile District"

Maybe it is not official but there is one are in Kuala Lumpur that concentrate on textile based business. At Hang Tuah shops sells shirts and apparels in bulk and for business entity can come to this area to look for their stocks.

Kuala Lumpur Central

This is a new area developed as the hub for transportation for the city of Kuala Lumpur. This complex house the Keretapi Tanah Melayu station and also KL City Air Terminal. Air passengers flying on MAS can check-in at the KL Central and take the Express Rail Link (ERL) to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The Kelana Jaya Rail Transit line between Kelana Jaya and Terminal Putra (Gombak) also service this complex
