Malaysia launched her first Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. The launch by Prime Minister was officiated at the BRT Complex Sunway. BRT is an elevated electrically run bu service plying a 5.4 km route in and around Bandar Sunway. It is one of the many latest initiative to enhance mobility for commuters at Bandar Sunway and Subang Jaya areas. The service starts operating on 2nd June 2015.

The BRT project is a collaboration between Prasarana Malaysia Berhad and Sunway Berhad under the innovative Public-Private Partnership (PPP) programme costing RM 634 million. Sunway contributed RM123 million.
BRT Sunway Line has 7 stations starting at Seri Setia Jaya to USJ7 in Subang Jaya. The line will also be linked to USJ7 LRT station that is under construction.
This new transportation system will be an eco-friendly transportation system using 15 electric buses on dedicated lanes serving at an interval of every 4 minutes. A unit of bus load can transport 67 passengers traveling at an average speed of 30 - 40 kph. It has WiFi service for the convenient of commuters.
There will be 7 elevated stations namely Sunway-Setia Jaya, Mentari, Sunway Lagoon, SunMed, SunU-Monash, South Quay and USJ7. The operators also made available the park and ride facility at SunU-Monash station.
