Introduction to Tourism Photography by Encik Azlie Halim, Editorial Manager of Santai Travel Magazine. Being a Travel Magazine editor he provides tips to participant on how to capture acceptable travel photos that can be used in Travel magazines.
Encik Azlie shared tips on how to write for a travel magazine in relation to sentences, layout and photography. He also listed out 10 tips on how to be a good travel writer
One of his advice to participants is to read the travel magazines to find out the formatting structure and learn what type of writing they prefer. Different magazines have their own standards and guidelines.
David Hogan Jr of Malaysia-Asia share about Instagram one of the most popular photosharing application on social media. His lecture on the day is very relevant to one of the contest organised by Tourism Kuala Lumpur #vmy2014 Instagram Photo contest.
The third presentation was by Dr Sharkawi Che Din, Head of Pusat Pengajian Seni Reka Grafik, Faculty Seni Lukis dan Seni Reka, University Technology Mara (UiTM). His presentation was on Travel Photo Journalism.
Dr Shekarwi introduced the types of photography and how to choose the best camera to suit individual needs in a photography assignments.
